Giant Bear

Where the Cave Bear is large, the Giant Bear is monstrous - a bear grown to twice the size of any natural beast, rearing taller than a mounted man, the undisputed apex predator of the northern forests and the foothills below the Frostspire. It has no rival in its range and behaves like it, taking what it wants and fearing nothing. The northern folk leave offerings at the edge of its territory, less out of worship than out of a sensible wish to be somewhere else when it is hungry.
