The Wolf needs little introduction, but it earns respect where the Wild Dog earns only a thrown stone. A true wolf of the Reach's forests and uplands hunts in a disciplined pack, patient and clever, circling and testing before it commits. Where dogs are emboldened scavengers, wolves are hunters by trade, and a winter pack driven down out of the high country by hunger will take livestock, and sometimes worse.
