The Deep Tyrant is the terror of the lowest halls of the Iron Hills: a monstrous brute, vast even by the standard of giants, that has made the deepest reaches its kingdom and rules the lesser things of the dark by sheer dominating strength. It is no mindless beast but a cunning and ancient tyrant, and it broods over the deep places as though guarding something - and indeed it is, though what the Tyrant keeps and why it keeps it is a matter for those who venture deep enough to find out, and strong enough to survive the finding.
