The Fighter
Person
The Fighter is the oldest calling there is: the sword and the shield, and the will to stand behind them. No working, no prayer, no trick of shadow - only steel, armor, and a body trained to take punishment and give worse. A Fighter wears the heaviest plate the smiths can forge and wields whatever weapon comes to hand, and in the press of a fight there is no one you would rather have between you and the enemy. They are the wall the party stands behind. What they cannot do, they leave to others: they do not heal, they do not hide, they do not cast. They hold the line, and the line holds because of them.
