Frostvayne is the named horror of the far northern wastes, an ice dragon of vast age that lairs deep in the frozen heights where the cold itself seems to answer to it. White-scaled and all but invisible against the endless snow, it is a patient, pitiless hunter of the white silence - but it is more than that, for Frostvayne is a hoarder of the truest kind, and among the frozen treasures heaped in its glacial lair lies something old and powerful, a thing of an elder age that the dragon has kept buried in the ice for longer than it can likely remember why. Those who know of it whisper that the thing Frostvayne guards is a key to troubles far beyond the dragon's frozen reach - and that one day, someone with great need will have to go up into the killing cold and take it from him.
