Ice Dragon

The Ice Dragon is the wyrm of the Frostspire and the high frozen wastes, white-scaled and all but invisible against the snow until it is upon its prey. Its breath is a blast of killing cold, a freezing gale that turns the blood to ice and sheathes everything it touches in killing frost. Ice Dragons are cold in temperament as in element - patient, pitiless hunters of the white silence, content to wait out a storm or a siege as easily as a heartbeat. They lair in glacial caves and the high snowbound ruins, and the few northern folk who share their range speak of them the way one speaks of the winter itself: not as an enemy to be beaten, but as a death to be avoided.
