Bandit Archer
Creature
Every well-run band keeps its archers back and high - in the trees, on the ridge, behind the cover - to open the ambush with a volley before the swords ever close. The Bandit Archer is the reason an experienced traveller, hearing the first arrow, looks not at the men in the road but at the slopes above them. They are lightly armored and poor in a melee, and a party that closes the distance fast has won half the fight; a party that stands in the open trading shots will lose it.
