The Dark Elf Scout is the forward blade of the sundered elf-kin who, like the Duergar, went down into the deep dark long ago and were changed by it. Silent, swift, and deadly in the lightless tunnels they call home, the Scouts range ahead of their people, picking off intruders from the shadows with poisoned blade and bowstring before melting back into the dark. They see in blackness as the surface-elf sees by day, and a party blundering torch-lit through their territory is, to a Dark Elf Scout, almost insultingly easy prey.
