The Goblin Boss is simply the biggest, meanest, and most cunning goblin in a given warren, ruling the rest through a combination of brute strength and casual cruelty. It is better armed and armored than any of its underlings, often in a jumble of looted gear, and it fights with the desperate ferocity of a creature that knows exactly what happens to a deposed goblin chief. Cut it down and the warband's courage usually goes with it, the rabble scattering into the dark to squabble over who rules next.
