Gnomes are the tinkers and the lore-keepers, a small and clever people forever taking the world apart to see what makes it turn. Alone among the peoples of the Reach they are drawn equally to the arcane and to the divine - the only folk whose minds bend naturally to both the workings of structure and the mysteries of faith. This makes them the natural keepers of both keys, and the Reach's finest dual-scholars come from among them. They are slight of body and sharp of eye, missing little, and a Gnome will find the trap, the seam, the hidden catch that others walk past. What they lack in strength they have never seemed to miss.
