The Dark Sun

There is a second sun in the sky of the Reach, and it gives no light at all. The Dark Sun is a black disc ringed by fire - the Crown of Fire burning at its edge - and what it gives the world is not warmth but pull: the slow, patient Drawing that tugs at everything toward nothing. It cannot be argued with, because it is not a lie or a tyrant but a fact, hanging plainly overhead for anyone to see. The Unmakers worship it. They are not wrong about what it is. They have only decided that surrender is correct.
