The Greyfallen
Faction
The Greyfallen are the faith of the Pale Sister, and they are the hardest of the three to dismiss. They do not fight the Drawing as the Cathedral does, nor welcome it as the Unmakers do. They grieve. They sit with the dying, tend the graves, and keep vigil over what cannot be saved, holding that the only honest answer to the rising dark is to face it with grace - neither to rage against it nor to hurry it along. Ash-pale and quiet, they are sincere mourners, and the discomfort they cause the Cathedral is precisely that their honesty about death looks, from a certain pew, a little like the enemy. Their light, after all, is part firelight of the Crown.
