Seek the Obsidian Crown. The phrase passes from mouth to mouth as though everyone knows what it means, and in plain terms it is plain enough: the Obsidian Crown is a relic, a worked thing of black stone, the last and greatest of the keystones the Builders left behind. It is not kept in the Gulf, nor anywhere near it. It lies upon a far island in the southeast of the Reach, and it must be found there and carried to the ruined volcano at the heart of the Gulf, where alone it can be set in its place. What it does once seated is sealed in the deepest pages of this Tome. Some knowledge is earned only by arriving.
