The Revenant is the rarest and most singular of the undead, for nothing raises it but its own unfinished hatred. A person murdered or betrayed with such violence that their will refuses death may return - a corpse risen by sheer force of vengeance, animated by a single purpose: to find and destroy the one who wronged it. A Revenant is relentless, near-unstoppable, and utterly fixed on its quarry; it will walk through a hundred bystanders without a glance to reach the one it has come for. They are tragic things, in their way - and terrible ones for whoever earned their return.
