A Skeleton is exactly what it sounds like and nothing a traveller should ever expect to simply meet on the road. Bare bones do not rise on their own in the Reach; the dead stay decently dead. A Skeleton walks only where something has made it walk - the dark will of a Necromancer, or a curse old and strong enough to keep a crypt's tenants from their rest. It is a brittle, mindless thing, animated by borrowed purpose, and it fights without fear or sense because there is nothing left in it to fear or sense with. Its existence is rare, and its presence is a sign: someone, or something, has worked a magic that should not be worked.
