Fire Troll

The Fire Troll is a rare and terrible exception to the one rule that governs all troll-slaying: fire does not stop it. Dwelling in the volcanic deep and the scorched margins of the fire-mountains, its blood runs hot as embers and its flesh is at home in flame, so that the torch which saves a party from any other troll only feeds this one. It regenerates as its kin do, and to kill it a party must find another answer entirely - cold, or crushing, or simply more force than the thing can knit back together. Many have learned, fatally, that the old wisdom does not always hold.
