Forest Dragon

The Forest Dragon is a wyrm so wholly at home in the deep ancient woods that it has half become a part of them: moss-green and bark-brown of scale, near-invisible among the great trunks, moving through the canopy with a silence that no creature its size has any right to. It is cunning and intensely territorial, regarding its stretch of forest as a domain to be defended against all comers, and it knows every game-trail and hollow of that domain intimately. Woodsfolk who live near one learn its boundaries and never, ever cross them, for the Forest Dragon shows no mercy to trespassers and grants no second warning.
