The Lorekeeper's Tome

Osskarr the Fen-Crowned is the great Bone Dragon of the Ashen Marsh, and the only one of his kind the Reach now knows by name. He crept into the deep marsh in some age long past and never left it, and over the long years he has made himself the grim king of a drowned and rotting corner of the fen - not by any dark art, for he wields none, but by the plain terror of being what he is. His hall lies sunk in the mire, and he has built it, year upon year, from the bones of all that he has killed there: the beasts of the marsh, the men who came hunting glory or treasure, the whole long toll of his domain, dragged down and picked clean and heaped into the bone-crowned seat from which he takes his name. He is a lesser power than what waits in the deep south, but he is no less deadly for it, and a party that crosses the Ashen Marsh must reckon with the Fen-Crowned before the marsh will let them pass.
