The Amber of the Crown is one of the seven jewels of the Obsidian Crown, the regalia of the old kings, lost and scattered across the Reach when the Cataclysm broke the world. Where the seven now lie, none know. The Amber is the stone of consequence - the chain that runs from a deed to all that follows it. A bearer who carries it strikes telling blows whose effects cascade one into the next, each deed breeding another. Its curse is that chain turned against the bearer's own will: a compulsion, the carrier moved to act by a cause that is not their own, pulled along by consequences they did not choose.
