The Sapphire of the Crown

The Sapphire of the Crown is one of the seven jewels of the Obsidian Crown, the lost regalia of the old kings, scattered across the Reach when the Cataclysm tore the world apart. None know where the seven now lie. The Sapphire is the stone of the mind and the will: a bearer who carries it commands the arts of the mind and stands free of fear, unshakable. Its curse is the swelling of that same will - a pride grown so complete that the bearer comes to believe they need no help, no healing, no counsel but their own, and so refuses the very aid that might save them.
